It's Labor Day weekend, and we've got it all planned out for you!
Your kids go back to school on Tuesday, so we planned some last days of summer activities to soak up the last of the free family time you'll have for a while. Check out this compiled list of everything going on in Hampton Roads, Richmond, and Williamsburg this weekend, August 30–September 2!
Hampton Roads
Downtown Hampton Block Party: Good Shot Judy | E Queens Way, Hampton | Saturday
Good Shot Judy is a blues band who will take you back to the swinging days! They cover popular artists such as Sinatra, Michael Bublé, and Ella Fitzgerald. The band will hit the stage at 7 p.m., and the kids' area will be open from 6 to 8 p.m.! The concert is free and open to the public, so just be sure to bring your dancing shoes here!

Seizing the Moment: Evolution of Action Photography | The Mariners Museum, Newport News | Ongoing
Witness the photography from the Horace Havemeyer III Collection and the incredible images he's captured of the most unimaginable moments. The exhibit is free and open to the public. Check it out here!

Roe by Generic Theater | Chrysler Hall, Norfolk | Friday, Saturday, Sunday
The Generic Theater puts together unique and enjoyable performances that involve local actors and actresses. Writer Sarah Weddington cuts through the rhetoric heard by others and tells the true story of a lawyer facing a hard decision during the time when abortion was first legalized. Rock N' Roll Half Marathon | Virginia Beach Convention Center | Saturday and Sunday
Whether you are registered to race or just want a day filled with enjoyable entertainment, you won't want to miss this race! Racers will be participating in a half marathon, mile, or 5K. Racers earn free access to the concerts and will be able to participate in fitness expos that will have information packets and fitness demonstrations. Arts District Food Tour | River City Food Tours | Saturday
The Arts District Food Tour is the perfect event for art enthusiasts who love food! Local restaurants around the area will be serving samples for you to taste that will allow you to discover a new favorite, hear the chefs' stories, and meet the people behind delicious creations. Jazz in the Park | Dorey Park and Recreation Center | Saturday
Pack up the family and bring along a blanket, picnic, and your dancing moves to enjoy a free concert. The night will feature an entertaining lineup that will get you out of your seats and swinging around on the dance floor. Make sure to come hungry because there will be plenty of local food trucks for you to get some grub and chill out. Check it out here!

Pompeii: The Immortal City | Science Museum of Virginia | Daily
Witness the incredible and devastating events of the volcanic eruption at Pompeii that swept across the city killing thousands of people. Viewers will have a chance to see never before seen flora and fauna of the beautiful city and what was left of it. Tickets to the museum will get you entry to the exhibit. Do you love a unique sound? Do you love relatable lyrics? Then you will want to head to Busch Gardens this Sunday to see Bennett Wales & The Relief. They will have you jamming out in your seat after a long day of running around the park and riding rides. Admittance to the show is free with admission to the park! Labor Day Weekend at Brass Cannon | Brass Cannon | Saturday-Monday
Spend your weekend chilling out at Brass Cannon for some live music, delicious food from local food trucks, and of course, delicious beer to taste. The event is free and open to the public, but the refreshments are not. Check out the event here or on their website!

Labor Day Weekend | Williamsburg KOA | Friday-Monday
