Monday, August 12
Arizona Diamondbacks @ Colorado Rockies

Park People by Nathan Sawaya

Where: Republic Plaza off of 16th Steet Mall
Price: Free
LEGO artist Nathan Sawaya has set up life-size monochromatic human forms built from LEGOs that sit on park benches, and right now, six of these new friends are sitting around Republic Plaza on 16th Street. We see some fantastic Instagram pic opportunities with this one.

Sunset Cinema Presents: 10 Things I Hate About You

Where: Sunset Cinema Galleria at the Arts Complex
Price: Free
The classic teen romantic comedy inspired by Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew has a fantastic ensemble cast, including the late Heath Ledger. Sponsored by the Denver Film Society, there will be pre-screening games and even a costume contest from 7–8 p.m. The movie will start at 8 p.m. and there will be food and drinks for purchase. The movie plays rain or shine. Also, while this event is free, preregistration is required.
Wine Tasting Tuesdays at the JW Marriot
When: August 13, 3 p.m.- 6 p.m.
Where: 150 Clayton Lane
Price: Free
Blanchard Family Wines has partnered with the JW Marriot Denver Cherry Creek to offer free wine tastings every Tuesday evening in the lobby of the luxury hotel. Cheers!

Indigenous Film Series Denver Museum of Nature & Science

This monthly film series is presented in partnership with the Denver Museum of Nature & Science and the International Institute for Indigenous Resource Management, as well as the Denver American Indian Commission. This is a free event, doors open at 6 p.m. and the film begins at 6:30 p.m.

RARE: Denver Steak Championship

This is the first festival in Denver focused on high-quality juicy steak bites paired with signature cocktails. This one of a kind competition event between Denver’s best steakhouses will pit 20 of the region’s top steak chef’s against each other in a head to head battle for the title of Top Steak. Attendees can chow down on steak and cast votes for their favorites.
Full Moon Hike - Nocturnal Nightlife at Barr Lake State Park

Where: Barr Lake State Park
Price: $8 park fee, pre-registration required
Explore Barr lake at dusk and check out the nightlife that comes out with the full moon. The hike ends at 9 p.m.
Plains Conservation Center Free Days

On the third Thursday of each month, the Plains Conservation Center, in conjunction with the Denver Botanic Gardens, will participate in the 2019 Scientific and Cultural facilities District Free Days program. The 1,100-acre nature preserve and educational center showcases the lives of the pioneers and the plains Native American tribes in the late 1800s. The event offers historical and ecological educational programming, wagon rides, tours of the sod villages and tipi structures, as well as refreshments.
Mumford and Sons at Fiddler’s Green
When: August 15–17, 7:30 p.m.

The Grammy-winning British band will rock out under the summer sky. The band will perform into the weekend with two additional shows on Friday and Saturday!
