Concerts, comedy, baseball, and the return of hockey are on our list of things to do in Denver this week.

A brand-new week with so much to do! As fall makes its way into Denver, there are a ton of events and happenings to keep the week exciting. Whether you feel like a mid-week rock concert, preseason hockey, or just want to get out and mingle here are 12 events to check out around the Mile High City this week.

Monday, September 16

Carrie Underwood - The Cry Pretty Tour 360

Singer, songwriter, and actress Carrie Underwood takes the stage at Pepsi Center tonight. From reality show winner to country music superstar, the songstress brings her award-winning talents to the Mile High City. With supporting acts Maddie & Tae and Runaway Jane, this is looking like a perfect start to the week.

New York Mets @ Colorado Rockies

When: September 16–18
Where: Coors Field
Price: $5 and up

The Mets will take on the Rockies for three games this week, Monday and Tuesday are evening games, while Wednesday is an afternoon game.

Salman Rushdie at The Center

When: September 16, 7 p.m.
Where: The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities
Price: $37.77

Presented by Tattered Cover Book Store, world-famous author Salman Rushdie will spend an evening discussing his 14th and newest novel, Quichotte, as well as his life’s work. Tickets include a copy of his newest book (taxes and fees added at checkout).

Tuesday, September 17

A Doll's House and A Doll's House Part 2

When: September 17–19
Where: The Ricketson Theatre
Price: Starting at $30

Performed for the first time in repertory, the two playwrights present one woman’s story and path as she works through her life, self-discovery, and head-on confrontation of her own choices. A story that has comedy, drama, heartbreak and lots of talent. Tickets are sold for single or both shows, though it is recommended to see both shows for the full effect.

Deep Purple - The Long Goodbye

When: September 17, 8 p.m.—doors open at 7 p.m.
Where: Paramount Theatre
Price: $59–$125

The Hall of Fame British rock band will charm the crowds for one night in Denver. The ultimate night of classic rock with one of the bands that paved the way for metal music of today.

Vegas Golden Knights @ Colorado Avalanche

When: September 17, 7 p.m.—doors open 6 p.m.
Where: Pepsi Center
Price: $6 and up

Let’s go, Avalanche! The Avs will take on the Knights with the hometown crowd here to cheer them on. This is the first game of the year, and we can count on some great fan support for the team.

Wednesday, September 18

Denver Startup Job Fair & Showcase

When: September 18, 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Where: McNichols Building
Price: Free

This one is for all the opportunity seekers out there. The DSW Job Fair & Showcase will host over 100 local companies, all with hundreds of positions available. There will be drinks, music, mingling, and connections to be made with some of Colorado’s best startups, scale-ups, and corporations.

Andy Grammer with Nightly - Don't Give Up On Me Tour

When: September 18, 8 p.m.
Where: Ogden Theatre
Price: $35-$37 ages 6 and older show

Head out to the Ogden to catch Andy Grammer and his upbeat music, including the triple-platinum single that skyrocketed to the top of the charts in 2015. The American singer, songwriter, and musician is known for his songs as much as his upbeat personality and interactions with fans.

Sensi Night Denver

When: September 18, 7–11 p.m.
Where: EXDO Events Center
Price: Free admission, must be 21 years and over

Over 130 Denver companies come together for a night of mingling, chatting, demonstrations, question and answer sessions, and more with brand representatives and professionals from the cannabis industry. Giveaways, promos, health and wellness stations, food trucks, and live performances are included in this adults-only event.

Thursday, September 19

Big Wild and Whethan, Denver

When: September 19, 6:30 p.m.—doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Where: Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre
Price: $44–$75

Red Rocks will be alive with the sound of music as electronic music artists Big Wild and Whethan perform. They'll be joined by special guests, Goldfish and Robotaki, at their all-ages show under the stars.

Dallas Stars @ Colorado Avalanche

When: September 19, 7 p.m.—doors open at 6 p.m.
Where: Pepsi Center
Price: $6 and up

The Avs are back for another home game this week. With some changes to the team, it's a great chance to get out and see what the team looks like on the ice this upcoming season.

Comedian Dana Gould

When: September 19, 8 p.m.
Where: Comedy Works Downtown
Price: $17–$25

Dana Gould, who spent over 14 years writing for The Simpsons, will perform his stand up at Denver’s Comedy Works Downtown. In town for the next two weeks, this is his only weeknight show.
