Ocean City is one of the prime vacation spots in Maryland for tourists and locals alike. Throughout the year, especially in the spring and summer seasons, there are plenty of family-friendly events for people to enjoy. If you're more than ready to shed the winter gloom and get out and about, here are some events that might be exciting to you and your loved ones!
Boardwalk Horse and Carriage Rides
When: Ends May 6
Where: Boardwalk/Inlet Area
If your family loves sight-seeing, then you'll enjoy the Boardwalk Horse and Carriage Rides in Ocean City! This event includes a ride in a carriage starting at Thrasher's on the Boardwalk, then going around the pier, traveling up to 4th Street, and then looping back around to where you started. See all that the Boardwalk has to offer, from restaurants to arcades and more.
Keep in mind though that this event ends on May 6, so go while you can! It'll be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and costs $10 per person -- children three and younger ride for free. If you'd like further information, or want to schedule a ride, you can call (443) 783-1409.
Maryland International Kite Expo

Where: Beach Boardwalk
"Let's go fly a kite!" The Maryland International Kite Expo is back. Join in on the fun or watch as the sky is filled with colorful and unique kites of all sizes and shapes! There will also be exhibitions, demonstrations, and even lessons.

Springfest

This free four-day festival has returned to Ocean City! You'll have the opportunity to listen to amazing performers like Satisfaction, Trace Adkins, Bret Michaels, and more. Plus, between all of the delicious food, crafts, and other family-friendly activities, you're in for a good time.

Spring Movie Night
When: May 11 and 25
Where: Sunset Park
Are you and your family movie buffs? Well, the Spring Movie Night is the perfect chance to enjoy a movie together, all while gazing upon the night sky. Previews start at dusk, while the actual film starts at 8:30 p.m. Feel free to bring your own snacks, but there will be a concession stand with drinks, popcorn, and candy.
