Copper Mountain Country Music

Copper Country Music Festival

When: August 30–September 1
Where: Copper Mountain Resort, 209 Ten Mile Circle, Frisco
Price: Free

This two-day music festival is full of free country tunes, food, vendors, a fine arts show, Marker Market, and more. The free concert lineup includes the North Mississippi Allstars, Lucinda Williams, Donavon Frankenreiter, Bishop Gunn, and more.

Four Corners Folk Festival

When: August 30–September 1
Where: Reservoir Hill, Pagosa Springs
Price: Starting at $55.00, children 12 and under get free admission and camping with a paying adult

The music festival takes over the little town for this weekend of camping, folk, and bluegrass music, and an all-around good time. Take a dip in the San Juan on a break or stay up late and catch one of the late-night concerts. Hands-on workshops will be going on all weekend so those who want to play along can bring their own instruments, though non-players are welcome to participate as well.

Motorcycle rally

15th Annual Thunder in the Rockies Bike Rally

When: August 30–September 2
Where: Thunder Mountain Harley Davidson, Loveland

The Thunder in the Rockies Bike Rally is Colorado’s largest motorcycle event held every year over Labor Day weekend. This four-day motorcycle rally will have over 100 vendors, food, and live music, including concerts by Queensryche, Scotty McCreery with Colbie Caillat, and Sublime with Rome. Tickets to shows can be purchased online. There are demonstrations, a Nightlife Rodeo, ax throwing, and a lot more to do this Labor Day weekend in Loveland.

98th Annual Windsor Harvest Festival

When: August 31–September 1
Where: Boardwalk, Main, and Eastman Parks, Windsor
Price: Varies

This annual Labor Day celebration has a parade, food, music, vendors, hot air balloons, a Home and Garden show, arts and crafts fair, and lots more. This is a family-friendly event and has been going strong for almost a century!

Wild West Whiskey Fest

When: August 31–September 1
Where: Winter Park Resort 85 Parsenn Road, Winter Park
Price: $35

This two-day mountain town event is all about whiskey, BBQ, live music, and mechanical bulls. The kids can get in on some mutton bustin’ but mom and dad will need to pre-register; $10 per ride. While the kids are wrangling the sheep there will be plenty of whiskey tasting for the adults and free mechanical bull rides both days, from 12–4 p.m. Honestly, what more can you ask for from a Labor Day weekend in a Colorado mountain town?

44th Annual Gathering at the Great Divide Art Festival

When: August 31–September 2
Where: Breckenridge, North Street at Wellington
Price: Free

This annual fine art festival brings over 100 artists to Breckenridge for the 44th year, free admission all weekend. With 13 categories of fine art, there will be woodwork, photography, paintings, jewelry, sculptures, and much more to see. The festival gets a great turnout every year and is a fun family outing with lots to do and see.

Manitou Springs

Commonwheel Artists Labor Day Art Festival

When: August 31–September 2
Where: Memorial Park, 502 Manitou Avenue, Manitou Springs
Price: Free

Live music from local acts, food, lots of kid’s activities like face painting and giant soap bubbles, a beer garden, and plenty of local art make this an idyllic spot for a Labor Day weekend getaway. Fine art, jewelry, sculpture, glass art, pottery, and many more handcrafted works from local artists and crafters are on display, along with the picturesque landscape of Manitou Springs.
