We’ve got dinosaurs, Blake Shelton, SpongeBob SquarePants, dance parties, and more all going on in the Mile High City this weekend!

This weekend kicks off Spring Break for some school districts in the area, so there's plenty of reason to celebrate. We’ve got great concerts, we’ve got dinosaurs, and we’ve got dancing all weekend long! Here’s our roundup of things to do in Denver this weekend.

Events in Denver on Friday, March 13

**Iliza Schlesinger

When: March 13, 7:30 and 10 p.m.
Where: Bellco Theatre
Price: Varies

Stand-up comedian Iliza Schlesinger is bringing her Forever Tour to the Bellco Theatre for two shows! Grab your fellow she-dragons and get ready for a night of laughs.

Family-Friendly Dance Party at Stanley Marketplace

When: March 13, 6-8 p.m.
Where: Stanley Marketplace, 2501 Dallas Street
Price: Free to dance!

This sounds like the perfect way to celebrate Friday the 13th. Bring everyone from the baby to Grandpa to boogie the night away. There will be music courtesy of the all-vinyl local DJ group the Something Vinyl Club, and plenty of food and drink available from Stanley Marketplace favorites.

The Colorado Symphony: The Music of Queen

When: March 13–14
Where: Boettcher Concert Hall
Price: Starts at $15

Listen to the music of one of the world’s all-time favorite supergroups played by rock artist Mig Ayesa and his band who collaborate with the Colorado Symphony for this night celebrating the classic music from Queen’s many hit albums.

Events in Denver on Saturday, March 14

Dinosaur Adventure in Denver

When: March 14–15
Where: Denver Mart and Expo Center
Price: Varies, $23+ for adults

This is the ultimate event for dinosaur lovers. The one-of-a-kind exhibit features life-sized moving dinosaurs, including the Velociraptor, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, and more. Fossil crafting, obstacle courses, Jurassic Jeeps, live entertainment, walking dinosaur show, and even baby dinosaurs will be around all day to meet and greet explorers.

**Blake Shelton: Friends & Heroes 2020

Where: Pepsi Center
Price: $65+

Blake Shelton will take the stage here in Denver and it is sure to be a fun show. With this playful attitude and rock and roll honky-tonk sound Shelton delights fans every time he takes the stage. He will have plenty of famous friends to help him out with the Bellamy Brothers, John Anderson, and Trace Adkins are scheduled to appear. Who knows we may just catch a glimpse of Miss Gwen cheering him on in the wings?

The SpongeBob Musical

When: March 14 at 2 and 7:30 p.m.
Where: Buell Theatre
Price: Varies  

The family-friendly Broadway musical has been called brilliant as the beloved character of SpongeBob and his friends must save Bikini Bottom from catastrophe. A powerful story of friendship, cooperation, humor, heart, and unity, the story celebrates inclusion and the power of optimism. The show just started this week and plays through March 22, and there are shows all weekend!

Lucky Charm 1M, 5K. 10K, & Doubles

When: March 14 at 8 a.m.
Where: City Park
Price: Varies

Lads and lassies can get out for fresh air, a run, and some serious fun in the name of St. Parick! There are also several St. Patrick’s Day running events around town this weekend, so if you want to get your run on, check out our article about it right here!

Colorado Avalanche vs. Las Vegas Golden Knights

The Avalanche take on the Las Vegas Golden Knights in a daytime game. Food, family, and of course, our favorite NHL Team!
