Events in Denver on Monday, December 9

Calgary Flames @ Colorado Avalanche

The Avalanche take on the Calgary Flames on the home ice. Head out to the Pepsi Center to cheer on the team and let off some steam from Monday’s work grind.

Slow Flow Holiday Yoga

When: December 9, 6:30 p.m.
Where: CU Anschutz Health and Wellness Center
Price: $15, Free for members

This holiday workshop is specially designed to focus on self-care with a gentle heart building practice. All ages and levels of practice are welcome.

After the Asteroid: Earth's Comeback Story

When: December 9, 7 p.m.
Where: Denver Museum of Nature & Science
Price: Free, reservations required

Celebrate with the Museum scientists and learn how they pieced together the story of how the planet recovered after the asteroid impact. A special screening of the NOVA documentary “Rise of the Mammals” will be shown, followed by a one night only pop-up exhibit. The event is expected to be sold out so make your reservation now!

Twelfth Night, Denver Center for the Performing Arts

Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night

When: Through December 22
Where: Space Theatre at DCPA
Price: $30+

Shakespeare’s "comedy for the ages" comes alive in this production on the Space Theatre stage. This one has twins, mistaken identity, and a hilarious love triangle that plays out as the audience watches the trysts, witty banter, and dismay of the characters.

John Leguizamo: Latin History for Morons

When: December 10, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Buell Theatre at DCPA

For one night only, Tony and Emmy-award winner John Leguizamo brings his critically acclaimed show to Denver. He takes the audience on an "outrageously funny, frenzied search to find a Latin hero for his son’s school history project."

Philadelphia Flyers @ Colorado Avalanche

A second chance to get out and see the Avalanche hit the home ice as they take on the Philadelphia Flyers. It's also the Avs' happy hour night with ticket and drink packages for fans!

Larimer Square Holiday Market

The holiday market will feature gourmet food, art, handmade jewelry, and much more to complete your shopping with unique and eclectic gifts from different local vendors and businesses. A heated pop-up bar will offer live entertainment and holiday-themed cocktails.

Nick Offerman Denver

Nick Offerman - All Rise

It's Ron freakin' Swanson! Funnyman Nick Offerman will put on two shows tonight, and there are still tickets available for the 9:30 show! The Parks & Rec star, Sling commercial legend, and husband to Megan Mullally is sure to be hilarious and is the perfect way to welcome in the weekend.

Portland Trailblazers @ Denver Nuggets

When: December 12, 8:30 p.m.
Where: Pepsi Center

If hockey just isn’t your thing, there's another chance to cheer on Denver’s top athletes on the basketball court. It's Nuggets Night Out, and fans can receive ticket and happy hour refreshment packages.
