Barks and Brews | Norfolk Botanical Garden, Norfolk | Sunday

Chill out in the garden with dogs and their owners as you enjoy some live music and, of course, beer! Members and their dogs get in for free, but non-members pay regular admission and $5 per dog. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times, and if you forget your waste bags, they'll have plenty. Check the event out here!

Norfolk Opera in the Park | Town Pointe Park, Norfolk | Saturday

If you and your whole family love the opera, then this event is for you! Norfolk Opera in the Park will feature local talent in an opera lineup you'll wish to see again and again. The family-friendly concert is free and open to the public! Food and adult beverages will be available for purchase so you won't have to eat before you come. Check it out here!

Rhythms on the Riverwalk Concert Series | Riverwalk Landing, Yorktown | Friday

Rhythms on the Riverwalk Concert Series will feature local up and coming talent with a concert every Friday night from now until October 4! Bring a lawn chair or blanket, as well as a cooler with drinks and food to enjoy! The first night will feature Good Shot Judy! The concert series is free and open to the public—see it here!

9th Annual A.O.H. Car Show | Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School, Virginia Beach | Saturday

Do you love looking at cars? Then you should check out the 9th Annual A.O.H. Car Show happening this weekend. You will have a chance to view vintage cars beginning from the 1900s all the way up to the present! Proceeds from the event will be donated to The Sisters of Poor Clare and Educational Scholarships for Catholic High School and St. Patrick’s School in Virginia Beach. Tickets are $20-$25 each. Passing Strange | The Firehouse Theater | Friday and Saturday

A rock and roll biography unlike any other, Passing Strange has wowed New York drama critics! The play is a coming-of-age story that covers such topics as teen angst and race. Tickets are $25-$45 each. Check out the event here!

World Heritage Festival and Festival of Kites | Brown's Island | Saturday

Bring along your favorite kite and fly it along with the other kite connaisseurs! There will be plenty of unique and custom-made kites to see along with the celebrations of heritages around the world. 10th Anniversary Celebration | Dominion Energy Center for the Performing Arts | Friday

Celebrate 10 years of the Dominion Energy Center for the Performing Arts! The event will be a collaboration of all performing arts center's resident companies, like the Virginia Opera, the Richmond Ballet, and the Richmond Symphony. Tickets are $27-$42 each. Learn more here!

Vintage Perspectives Art Exhibit | Williamsburg Winery | Friday

Williamsburg Winery is showing off their most favored sections of the winery by collaborating with the Williamsburg Contemporary Arts Center. The artists that are currently on display will be in attendance to give you a chance to speak with them about what inspired their works. Enjoy food and wine too! Tickets are $40-$45 each.
