Get your ping pong paddles ready, Denver!

Table Tenis X (TTX) is not your average game of table tennis. No, this one is timed and really super intense. Like, really intense.

The tournament, Smash Street Denver, is set for August 24, 2019, and is sponsored by Two Parts here in Denver and the International Table Tennis Federation.

Smash Street is an all-day "ping pong-a-palooza" and will have over 500 players competing. With 100-plus tables set up and decorated by local artists, there will be two options: play-to-win and play-for-fun. This huge ping pong event will take place in RiNo, in the intersection of Walnut Street and Broadway.

The winner of the tournament will win a trip to South Korea, where he or she will attend the Table Tennis World Championships and meet the best players in the world. The tournament is a "King of The Hill"-style game with two-minute rounds, freestyle serving, and single-game elimination. Pretty crazy, right?
