Straight from the orchard to your glass, sample a handful of Virginia cideries on the charming grounds of Lloyd House.
Tart and crisp, apple cider is the beverage of the season. The DMV—especially Virginia—has built up quite a reputation with its plethora of cider producers. And you can sample them for yourself at the Alexandria Cider Festival! From 1 to 5 p.m., guests can sample their way through Virginia's best cider-makers, as well as enjoy local cuisine and live music.
The festival will be held at the Lloyd House, a historic landmark in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, dating back to 1796. As a popular spot for community events, we'd be 'hard-pressed' to find a better place for cider sampling!

WHEN: Saturday, November 23, 2019 | 1–5 p.m.
WHERE: Lloyd House | 220 N Washington Street | Alexandria, VA
TICKETS: Presale $45 | At the door $55 | Purchase HERE
Over 10 cideries from around the state will be offering samples of the aromatic beverage. With your trusty sampling glass, you'll get to try Blue Bee Cider from Richmond, Albemarle Ciderworks from North Garden, and (of course) Alexandria's Lost Boy Cider. Food from Executive Orders, the Mount Vernon estate's exclusive food truck, will add some East Coast flair with lobster rolls, shrimp and grits, and chicken Waldorf salad.
Along with food and drink, visitors can enjoy live entertainment and other activities during the day. While the festival itself is for adults, a fun art activity provided by Kidcreate Studio will give the little ones something to do—and bring home with them.
