Will you be freezin' for a reason this New Year's Day?
Plunge into 2020, literally, at the Boulder Polar Plunge. Is the water about many, many degrees past invigorating? Yes. Will you ever recover feeling after diving in? Hopefully. Will you have an amazing time while raising money for cancer research? Absolutely.
Carry on a noble tradition with your fellow daredevils at the Boulder Reservoir on January 1, 2020. The first event was held in 1982, and it drew both flocks of participants and spectators who gathered together to plunge into the new year.
This year, you could test your mettle and be among the many that take the plunge! And because this is Colorado, once those of you who are over 21 have thoroughly shocked your system back to the Stone Age, you'll enjoy a post-plunge Avery brew and the warming tent. Teams and individuals can participate. The teams who have raised the most funds will be allowed to go first, with individuals in between each team.
And, in case you're afraid that every part of your body will completely stop functioning, there will also be several divers on hand for your safety.
"Your participation allows the American Cancer Society to fulfill their mission to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer. Your support is making a difference!" said the organization. The 2018 event saw almost 600 in attendance and raised nearly $28,000 for the ACS.
