Bouncy houses, food trucks, rock bands—this party has it all!
Are your kids feeling the back-to-school blues? As a final hurrah for summer, join the Maryland Zoo's ultimate kids-only celebration, Zoo Bop! Happening on Saturday, September 4, it's a concert event that's all about the kids but promises fun for the whole family, too.
Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., the zoo will be your child's playground—literally. Little ones can enjoy bouncy houses, arts and crafts, and visits with some of the zoo's Animal Ambassadors, who'll be available for selfies during the event. There'll also be food trucks and artisanal vendors specializing in the latest and greatest for kids.

But the main attraction is the music, and the zoo is really bringing it this year with two amazing bands. Families can bop along to Baltimore's own Baby Beats and Milkshake. Baby Beats is a beat-boxing duo, Milkshake is a kid-friendly rock band, and both will rock the house with their contagious energy. While kids will definitely put on their wildest dance moves, parents will find themselves singing along. Additional appearances by puppeteer Kevin Sherry and the Baltimore Gamers Symphony Orchestra ensure you'll be grooving all day long!
On top of everything else, guests will receive free zoo admission. Considering they're open until 4 p.m., it's the perfect chance to say "hello" to some furry friends before you go.
Admission is $12 per person for zoo members and $30-$34 for non-members. As usual, children under 2 are free of charge. While tickets just went on sale, we don't see them sticking around for long. If you're ready to bop, you can visit the Maryland Zoo's website for more information.
