This fall, don your finest evening wear and stroll through the luxurious grounds of Venice right here in D.C., at the Italian Embassy's Venetian Ball!

Ever wanted to travel to Italy? Skip the plane ride and come to the Italian Embassy for a sumptuous Venetian Ball!

Featuring delicious cuisine, music, and dancing, guests can experience a classy evening worthy of the traditional Italian balls—all within the nation's capital!

Experience Italy's cultural imports in a grand setting recalling the palaces of Venice's past. Guests can take pleasure in an Italian dessert spread including cannoli, limoncello cookies, and tiramisu, as well as regional beer and wine. Like to dance? Show off your moves to a live DJ or step in line with a guided ballroom dancing demonstration.

Opera singers will pay tribute to the country's rich musical history with a medley of beloved songs. There will also be a masquerade contest, where two winners will be selected for a prize! Masks aren't required to attend, but for a night this spectacular, why not go all out?

For VIP Admission, guests can take advantage of early access to the event (7 p.m.) and a host of perks. Enjoy an open bar and exclusive early dinner menu featuring savory dishes like Via Veneto (veal sausage with tomato, mozzarella, and bell pepper) gnocchi with sage, and more. General Admission ticket-holders won't get to access the gala until 8:30 p.m., but we assure you the amenities will be anything but lacking!

Here are some things to know before you head out:

• Proceeds from the event benefit the American Cancer Society, so along with enjoying a fun night, you'll be supporting a charitable cause too!
• Some seating is provided, but most of the evening will be spent standing. We suggest reaching out to [email protected] if you need assistance. At the very least, a comfortable pair of shoes is in order.
• General and VIP ticket prices will go up on Friday, October 4, at 5 p.m., a day before the gala, so be sure to order yours in advance!
