The Dance Theatre of Harlem and Miami City Ballet will put on a spectacular program, Ballet Across America at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Read on to find out how to win tickets!

This weeklong celebration of American ballet features innovative programs by two incredible ballet companies. The May 31 show features a world premiere Kennedy Center commission by renowned choreographer Pam Tanowitz.

Conducted by Tania Leon, under the direction of Artistic Director Virginia Johnson, the Dance Theatre of Harlem will be performing Vaise Fantaisie, Change, Passage, and Dougia

Shared Celebration Program

Conducted by Tania Leon and Gary Sheldon, the two companies will perform Waipurgisnacht Ballet, Passage, Gustave Le Grey No. 1, and Dougia. Gustave Le Grey No. 1 is the new Pam Tanowitz commission and features music by Caroline Shaw.

Miami City Ballet Program

Dates: June 1-2, 2019

Conducted by Gary Sheldon, under the direction of Artistic Director Lourdes Lopez, the Miami City Ballet will perform the Waipurgisnacht Ballet, the Carousel Pas de Deux, Brahams/Handel, and Heatscape.
