Thrill your tastebuds with multicultural cuisine in the heart of downtown D.C.
The nation's capital is home to some of the most exquisite restaurants in the country. With their emphasis on diverse cuisine, it's no wonder food festivals are at the top of their game here. Feeling adventurous? The Around the World Food and Culture Festival is coming to D.C.!
On August 17, food vendors from all over the world will converge on Freedom Plaza to sell their delicious wares. Visitors can try foods from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Central America, and (of course) the United States! Food selections will span continents, and each country will be represented by a single restaurant. Chow down on dishes from Turkish vendor Ozfeka, Peru's Huascaran Restaurant, or The Pie Guy from Australia. View the current list of restaurants here.
While you're there, explore craft vendors for unique trinkets, and enjoy a variety of live entertainment featuring music and dance. Details on the lineup and set times will be posted closer to the event, so check their website for updates!
Everyone loves food, and food brings us together. So bring your family and friends and experience authentic cuisine in the heart of this diverse city!
Street parking is available along the National Mall, but for the sake of convenience, we recommend taking the Metro. For the quickest way to the festival, stop at Smithsonian Station. Find out more here.
The 4th annual festival will take place on Saturday, August 17, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Freedom Plaza, across from the White House. Festival admission is free.
