The three-day fantasy festival will take place at Merriweather Park.

If you’re a fan of mermaids, fairies, and other magical creatures, the FantasyWood Festival in Columbia is the place to be. The outdoor fantasy festival will take place in the woods of the Merriweather Park over Memorial Day weekend. Envisioned by ManneqArt and Circus Siren Pod, FantasyWood will bring unique experiences and fantastical creatures to life in a relaxing outdoor event.

The festival will include a variety of themed lands, art and gift merchants, strolling performers, kid-friendly activities, and food and drink vendors. Kids of all ages can stroll through a fairy village, explore a sunken pirate ship, visit the house made of candy, and attend a Mad Hatter tea party. Fairies, witches, and mermaids will be interacting with guests, and a live unicorn will be making appearances throughout the weekend.

FantasyWood Festival will have more than 40 vendors on site selling artwork, gifts, and food. Outfit your little fairy at the Fairy Hawke Costume Company, view beautiful artwork from Priscila Dale Jones, and take pictures with your crew in the Tardis Photo Booth. Indulge in fun festival fare like unicorn poop (rainbow candy popcorn) and cotton candy spiderwebs.

FantasyWood Festival takes place Saturday, May 25, through Monday, May 27, 2019. Hours for the festival are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday.
