Typically, when people think of the month of February, they can't help but roll their eyes as their brains are filled with the idea of roses, chocolates, and sappy stories. If you are the type of person who wants February over before it even begins, then try enjoying FeBREWary instead!
FeBREWary is a month-long celebration that offers all kinds of events and festivals throughout the state of Maryland for craft beer lovers. From Ocean City to Gaithersburg, here are some of the hottest events where you can properly partake in FeBREWary.
Bury FeBREWary Beer Fest
WHEN: Friday, February 7 | 5–8 p.m.
WHERE: Southern Belle Barn in Delmar
PRICES: $25 in advance and $40 at the door. Tickets are only $15 if you are the designated driver.
This kick-off event is hosted by the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce and Shore Craft. Set in a gorgeous location in Delmar, Maryland, you can unwind and enjoy featured local brews from 12 breweries and delicious food from The Corner Grill. Your ticket will get you unlimited beer tastings, a tasting glass, and food! It's pretty much the perfect way to begin the FeBREWary festivities.

Love Thy Beer
WHEN: Friday, February 14 | 6–10 p.m.
WHERE: Silver Spring Civic Center
PRICES: $55 for the standard entry and $75 for the VIP experience. Designated driver tickets are $15.
At this must-attend event, you can chat with local craft beer experts, try brews created solely for FeBREWary, and enjoy live music throughout the evening. With your ticket, you can expect to indulge in the three-hour tasting session and you will receive a signature glass. For VIP ticket holders, you will get early entry and early access to beers, a four-hour tasting session, and a signature glass. With over 25 different breweries in attendance, there is sure to be something for everyone!

Anti-Valentine's Day Party
WHEN: Saturday, February 15 | 1:30–9:30 p.m.
WHERE: Elder Pine Brewing & Blending Co., Gaithersburg
PRICES: Free
This is not necessarily a typical FeBREWary event or festival, but if you want to enjoy some delicious local brews while ignoring the unspeakable V-Day holiday, then this could be the place for you. In this quaint venue in Gaithersburg, you will be able to enjoy food from the Quick Bites Food Truck, and they will be releasing two new beers specifically for this event. The beers they will be releasing are Red-Sparrows Vienna-style Lager, which is a crisp, clean, reddish-amber lager, and the Farmhouse at Midnight Imperial Fruited Black Saison, a jammy, fruit-flavored brew enhanced with French and Belgian yeasts!

ShoreCraft Beer Fest: Love on Tap
WHEN: Saturday, February 29 | 1:30–4:30 p.m.
WHERE: Ocean City Convention Center
PRICES: $35 for general admission, and $50 VIP admission. Tickets are only $10 for designated drivers!
This just may be the biggest event for FeBREWary, so it's the perfect way to bring the month to a close. This huge festival is complete with some of the best breweries on the Eastern Shore, over 40 beers to sample, views of the water, hotel packages, and live music by FireKite. Be sure to check out the bars' restaurants for food and drink deals, and download the Shore Craft Beer app to keep up with giveaways. This beer fest has so much to offer that you really should make it your beercation for that weekend! You can attend the pre-party at Seacrets on February 28, the night before the festival. Then, take the Sunday after the festival to relax, enjoy the beauty of the ocean, and savor the local cuisine before the work week starts again!
