Celebrate over 75,000 daffodils planted in St. Michaels with garden tours, doggie costume contests, Plein Air paintings, and more.

Spring will be in full bloom on Saturday, March 28, as St. Michaels hosts its third annual "Daffodil Days" festival! Since 2017, over 75,000 daffodils have been planted through a commitment to beautifying the city, and the results are beyond gorgeous. All over town, daffodils will be on display through community activities, including garden tours and doggie costume contests. Whether you're a St. Michaels native or just want to marvel over pretty flowers, there's bound to be spring fun for everyone!

WHEN: Saturday, March 28, 2020
WHERE: Town of St. Michaels, MD

The first order of business? Why, seeing the daffodils, of course! Visitors can stroll through St. Michaels' Talbot Street for stunning views of the flowers around town. You can participate in a guided tour put on by the St. Michaels Museum or do some exploring of your own. Daffodil Maps will be available at the nearby Muskrat Park and can also be printed from the festival's website.

The artists from St. Michaels' Art League will whip out their paintbrushes for a relaxing Plein Air, and their work will be put on display between Railroad Avenue and Talbot. Dog-lovers can dress up their pooches like the golden flower as part of The Daffy Dog Costume Contest. If your stomach starts growling, St. Michaels has many delicious restaurants like Ava's Pizzeria and St. Michaels Crab & Steak House.

After a day spent seeing such beautiful flowers, you might feel inspired to plant your own. St. Michaels Library will provide free daffodil seeds, so you can put your green thumb to work and start your own garden!

"Daffodil Days" is accessible by car, train, and boat, and St. Michaels has plenty of parking options. Check their website for more information on the event schedule.
