June 28 was a horrible day for our country, shaking Annapolis to its core, when five employees of the Capital Gazette were attacked and killed.
On Friday, October 19, Anne Arundel County Public Libraries will be hosting a book launch in honor of one of the Capital Gazette victims, Robert Hiaasen, at the Eastport-Annapolis Neck Library.
At 7 p.m., members of the community can join Hiaasen's wife Maria Hiaasen, Mayor Gavin Buckley, and Kevin Cowherd to hear a reading of Hiaasen's posthumously released book Float Plan.
