Ready to try some hard ciders? Central Place Plaza in Rosslyn will host eight cideries to bring you the quintessential taste of fall.

Apples are everywhere right now! Head out to Rosslyn this Thursday to try them in their boozy adult beverage form -- cider. Food trucks and live entertainment join eight tasting stations for an evening of delicious fun. Do you consider yourself a competitive eater? Sign up for the mini apple pie-eating contest here.

The cideries participating in this first-ever Cider Fest are Bold Rock, Winchester Ciderworks, Cobbler Mountain Cellars, Potter's, Austin Eastciders, Original Sin, Crispin, and Strongbow. Live music will be provided by a local band, Two Ton Twig, which combines folk, bluegrass, Appalachian, and other musical influences to create a unique sound. Sample some of their music here.

Getting to Cider Fest by Metro may be your best bet; the event will be just over a block from the Rosslyn Metro Station. Take your chances with street parking or head for one of the nearby pay garages.
