Meat falling off the bone? Sign us up!
After a year off, we're happy to report the annual Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival is turning up the heat in 2021! The Plaza at Tysons Corner Center will host the all-day bash from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., where you can stuff your face with barbecue and sample the finest brews and bourbon this side of the Mississippi. For barbecue-lovers in Northern Virginia, it's the ultimate meat-lovers paradise!
Throughout the day, vendors will be slinging smokehouse staples fresh off the grill, from chicken and ribs to beef brisket. Pulled pork will even be culled from a whole roasted hog, courtesy of The Shrine of Swine. You can't get any more Southern than that!
Besides the barbecue, there'll be plenty of entertainment to keep you busy. Venture to the Conchon Carnival for a round of cornhole and groove to live tunes by Party Fowl and Junk Food. Don't forget to browse the cool merch on sale. You can pick up a tasty hot sauce or accessory for your home grill!
Three ticket options are available to purchase:
- VIP Whole Hog: $79 (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
- General Admission Session One: $49 (12 p.m. to 3 p.m.)
- General Admission Session Two: $49 (4 p.m. to 7 p.m.)
Tickets, particularly VIP, sell out quite fast in non-pandemic times, let alone in a pandemic year. We recommend grabbing them ASAP—most sessions are already half-full! For those of you with designated drivers, special $25 tickets will be available to purchase on-site.
Just as a heads up, there will be a few changes to this year's event. Temperatures will be checked upon entry, and you'll need to wear a mask and keep your distance. Unlike years past, sampling glasses will be handed out when you exit. Even though you won't be able to use them for sampling on the grounds, they make a great addition to your drinkware collection at home!
The Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival is Saturday, May 22 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at The Plaza at Tysons Corner Center. Buy your tickets here.
