Celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day by supporting local Prince William, Manassas City, and Manassas Park youths this year!

The Prince William County Chapter of the Alumnae of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has created the Martin Luther King, Jr. Oratorical Program to help encourage the local youth develop their public speaking skills. Every year, local students practice and compete with pride in this prestigious competition.

During the program, six students from Prince William County, Manassas City, and Manassas Park will demonstrate their public speaking skills. Fourth- and fifth-grade students have also been invited to participate in a writing contest, and the results will be announced. The theme for this year's program is "Small Things in Great Ways" and is based on one of Dr. King's famous quotes.

In addition to the public speaking portion, the program will also feature beautiful choir music. In 1991, the Martin Luther King Community Choir, consisting of K-12 students, was formed to provide music for the program. Come out and support the young people in your community and this great annual event!
