The glow-in-the-dark egg hunt will take place on April Fools’ Day.
Maryland Zoo is celebrating Easter this year with a very special Easter egg hunt. The zoo’s egg hunt will take place at night and the lucky participants will get to search the zoo grounds for glow-in-the-dark eggs. Unfortunately, the egg hunt is only for adults 21 and over, so the kids will have to stay home. The event is part of the zoo’s efforts to extend programming and increase revenue during the pandemic.
The two-hour event takes place on Thursday, April 1, 2021, and includes an egg hunt, photo opportunities with the Easter bunny, food truck festival, and prize redemption.
The outdoor event will follow all state and local COVID safety guidelines including mask-wearing and social distancing. Visitors will check-in and have time to eat, drink, and take pictures. The egg hunt will start at 7:30 p.m. and end when all the eggs are found.
Eggs will be filled with candy and certificates for some amazing prizes. Those who are lucky enough to find a special egg could go home with gift certificates to experiences like axe throwing, iFLY, brewery tours, National Aquarium tickets, and more. You can also find eggs with Under Armour gift certificates, hotel stays, salon gift certificates, and wine baskets.
Each ticket includes two drink tickets and entry to the egg hunt. Early bird tickets are on sale for $35 and available until March 4, 2021, and all participants must be 21 or older. After March 4, tickets increase to $40 per person. If you have an annual membership to the Maryland Zoo, you’ll get $10 off each ticket. Tickets are expected to sell out fast, so hop on over to marylandzoo.org to get your tickets today.
