The Royal Gorge Route Railroad has been taking guests through one of the Centennial State's most awe-inspiring geographic features for years. Traveling through the beautiful Royal Gorge, it's a unique, year-round railroad line that offers an experience that is unique throughout the nation.
During the holiday season, the railroad invites a few special guests aboard to make the season merry and bright! Join Santa, Mrs. Claus, and elves as the train travel the rails into holiday fun for all ages. And for adults, there are some special after-Christmas rides that will create magical moments, as well.

Santa Express Train
Take a trip through the Royal Gorge and straight Santa's home base on this festive ride. Hop aboard the Santa Express Train to see a twinkly replica of the North Pole and have a meet and greet with Santa. From beginning to end, the whole ride is filled with holiday cheer; passengers will sing along to a mix of new and old Christmas music and enjoy delicious, locally sourced entrees that are available on every Santa Express class of service. When the Santa Express Train reaches the North Pole, Santa and his special elves board the train to pass out a special holiday bell to each ticketed child aboard.
It's truly a train trip into wonderful childhood memories and holiday nostalgia for all ages.

Breakfast With Santa
This trip is wonderful for those who want to see Santa during the daytime, as well as enjoy a wonderful view of the canyon! An early departure takes little ones to the North Pole for breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus! Passengers can enjoy a delicious meal, a train ride, hot chocolate, a special gift from Santa, and time to visit. Everyone is encouraged to don their pajamas for this one-of-a-kind way to start your holidays!

"This special event is a rare opportunity to have a cozy breakfast and be greeted by Santa and Mrs. Claus as they give each child a special gift, all while the train makes its way through the Royal Gorge and to the magical North Pole. New Year’s Eve Train
Ring in the New Year in serious train style with a three-course-dinner ride (and a murder mystery!) in a glass-dome rail car on New Year’s Eve. Who needs New York or Paris when you can celebrate aboard this unique ride?
