Tickets for this one-night-only event go on sale Friday, August 14!

Legendary rock band Metallica be the first band to kick off a new series of concerts in Colorado, which will also be shown at drive-ins across the country and in Canada. As part of the Encore Drive-In Nights concert series, the one-night event will be a Metallica experience that's promised to be "one of the most unique and memorable METALLICA experiences of all time."

The band has been hard at work making music to record a concert that is intended to be enjoyed on the big screen. This is the first time in almost a year that all the band members have been together recording. Three Days Grace will perform a special guest performance as part of the show.

Tickets go on sale Friday, August 14, at 12 p.m. They will cost $115 per car, with six people permitted per vehicle.

The band is excited about this new way to connect with their fans, and music fans have been craving concerts, so though this is not the exact same as seeing them live in concert it sounds like it will be a viable substitute. Metallica is also selling ‘Pandemica” merchandise to commemorate the new experience and new territory of the drive-in concert.

What do you think about the drive-in concert idea? Will you be headed out for a night of Metallica under the stars? What other concerts or events are you looking forward to. Sound off in the comments.
