With a few changes, the show will welcome fans of all things rock, mineral, fossil, and gem.

If you spend your walks and hikes collecting a pocketful of rocks, then you about to be really happy!

The Denver Coliseum Mineral, Fossil, and Gem Show, now just known at The Denver Show, is allowing in-person guests daily now through September 20. If was iffy earlier in the summer if the event was going to happen, but it was decided to go ahead with it in June, and in July, the Colorado Department of Health gave the go-ahead.

And now we all get to bask in the rows and rows of shimmery natural beauty that has been entertaining visitors in September for years.

"The ‘Denver Show’ is a catch-all name for the gem andmineral shows on both levels of the massive National Western Complex. Our event is the largest single mineral, fossil, gem & jewelry show in the USA. Browse 9 miles of tables and 500,000 square feet of covered space. We host 500 dealers of all sizes, from 100 square foot booths all the way up to 5,000 sqare foot anchor dealers. We’re bigger than four Walmarts and a lot more fun!" said the event website.

While generally spanning the whole National Western Complex, this year, all vendors that are usually found in the Coliseum have been moved to the Event Center.

But that won't affect anything you'll find there. The vendors with large and raw rocks, minerals, and more are generally in the tents outside, and the jewelry and more refined pieces are inside. Between the two, you can peruse a gigantic array of fine mineral specimens, fossils, dinosaurs, gems, gemstones, lapidary, cabochons, artisan & antique jewelry, beads, crystals, meteorites, metaphysical, gold, silver, turquoise, Native American items, art, miner’s rough, tools, supplies, customized services, and so much, much more!

Be aware that limited capacity, masks, and social distancing will all be required once in the event.

In addition, there is one big change this year: weekends are reserved for adults only, Friday-Sunday.

"Due to limitations on capacity (1,150 visitors at any one time), we  had to forgo family-friendly exhibits and demonstrations. Our focus will be on helping our vendors conduct the sales that they need to make it through this difficult year. Due to these reasons, the show is Adults Only on crowded weekends and opening day.  But, children ARE allowed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday," the event site said, adding that the child-friendly demonstrations and events have been canceled this year in order to maintain social distancing.

Admission to the grounds and parking are free on a daily basis from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can find out more about the event, health precautions that are being taken, and more at www.coliseumshow.com.
