Celebrate with holiday cheer and festive beer at SantaCon, Ocean City’s biggest holiday bar crawl and charity.

Have you ever wondered what it takes to pull off Santa’s look? How to perfect eyes that twinkle, dimples so merry, cheeks like roses, and a nose like a cherry? How to get that little round belly that shakes when you laugh like a bowl full of jelly?

Well, now’s your chance to pull off the look of the season—to become the man of the hour and the one with all the Christmas spirit. If you’re up for the challenge, brush up on your “ho-ho-hos,” bring out your red hat, and prepare the sleigh for SantaCon!

What is Santa Con?

Santa Claus is coming to town, and he’s looking for you to join the team. From December 13 to 15, over a thousand Santas will land their sleighs in Ocean City, Maryland, for a weekend full of holiday cheer and festive beer. During SantaCon, local Ocean City bars will open their doors to one and all and provide jolly discounts to get the party started. All you need to do is come dressed as ol’ Saint Nick and join the fun!

Santa Con Schedule

On Friday, December 13, SantaCon kicks off with a party at Pickles Pub where you can grab $2 Nattys, $2 pickle shots, and $5 Orange Crushes as you dance the night away. Then on Saturday, you can party with all the Santas at The Cork Bar & Grill, the Bearded Clam, the Lucky Anchor Bar & Grill, and Wild Bill’s from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The party doesn’t stop there though. From 7 p.m. on, jingle all the way to the 28th Street Barmuda Triangle and party at 28th Street Pit & Pub, Mother’s Cantina, Buxy’s Salty Dog Saloon, and Dry Dock 28.  When you awaken Sunday morning, you can also head to Barn 34 for a Sunday brunch and 10 percent off your bill if you manage to stay in your Santa outfit.

Throughout the event, you can also help SantaCon support local Ocean City charities. On Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m., you can donate bags of dry dog and cat food or treats (no rawhides) at the Cork Bar on Wicomico Street. These donated goodies will be given to the Kenille’s Kupboard Pet Pantry & Rescue so that they can feed animals this holiday season.

Each of the bars participating in SantaCon will also donate to the Assateague Coastal Trust so that the organization can continue to keep coastal waters clean.

Where to Stay During SantaCon

Looking for a place to park the sleigh and house the reindeer? The Grand Hotel & Spa is offering a special rate for anyone attending SantaCon. This rate is $59 a night for an oceanfront room for the weekend. To welcome you to the party, the Grand Hotel will also give every SantaCon guest a $10 Pit & Pub gift card at check-in.

To reserve a room, call the hotel at 410-289-6191 and ask for the SantaCon room block. After that, you can head to the sleigh and journey to the hotel for a merry weekend of holiday fun.
