The City of Fairfax is hosting the Chocolate Lovers Festival, Feb. 2–4! Think of it as a chocolate-filled paradise, right in the heart of Fairfax!

If you love chocolate, then you really ought to check out the Chocolate Lovers Festival in historic downtown Fairfax, Feb. 2–4. Featuring several chocolate-themed events, such as chocolate tasting, a chocolate chip pancake breakfast, a cake walk, and much more, this festival is ideal for chocolate lovers of all ages, shapes, and sizes! [caption id="attachment_5949" align="aligncenter" width="300"]Chocolate Lovers Courtesy of Washington Post[/caption] The activities kick off on Friday, February 2, at 6 p.m. at Fairfax’s Old Town Square, where, in the Liquid Chocolate Tent, festival attendees can taste various kinds of liquid chocolate products, like chocolate wine, soda, beer, milk, and hot chocolate products. Admission to the chocolate tent is free, though liquid product tastings are $1 each (alcoholic chocolate tastings are $2). [gallery type="rectangular" ids="5946,5947,5945"]
Activities resume Saturday with the pancake breakfast and bake sale at 8 a.m, and the festival's main event -- The Taste of Chocolate -- between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Admission into The Taste of Chocolate is free, however, actual tastes of chocolate goodies from the many chocolate vendors will cost $1 each. Patrons with kiddos should swing by the Fairfax Regional Library, where puppet shows, photo exhibits, music events, and more will be happening all day on both Saturday and Sunday.
