This "try and buy" market features Maryland-made gourmet foods, produce, homewares, and more.

Located at the Howard County Fairgrounds, explore an indoor marketplace filled with artisanal, locally-made goods ranging from homewares to hot sauce. As spring draws near, it's a great way to refresh your space and support your community. Nothing beats the feeling of speaking to local creatives in-person about their own products!

WHERE: Howard County Fairgrounds Main Exhibition Building | 2210 Fairgrounds Road | West Friendship, MD
ADMISSION: $5 Advance | $10 at the Door | Children Under 10 FREE
Shoppers will find a massive array of goods made by businesses in Howard County as well as the state at large. Visitors can "try and buy" gourmet cheeses, jerky, and sweets, or browse clothing and jewelry. Whether you're hunting for a special gift or just need to stock up your pantry, there's no doubt you'll find what you're looking for. Maybe you'll stumble upon an unexpected surprise, like the perfect pair of earrings or a new favorite business—you never know!
Besides its wealth of local treasures, Maryland is also known for its craft brews. If you get the craving for a cold one, the Drink Maryland booth will have an assortment of craft beers, wines, and spirits for you to sample. Full-sized bottles will be available for purchase, so you can also bring some home with you, too. You can even sip while you shop! Not many places allow drinking and shopping at the same time, so you might as well take advantage if that's your jam!
Here are a few things to know before you head out:
- Admission is $5 in advance and $10 the day of the event. Children under 10 will receive free admission. You can buy your tickets here.
- The festival is family-friendly, with the exception of the Drink Maryland booth which is 21+ only.
- The fairgrounds offer free and plentiful parking, so you won't have to worry about finding a spot!
