Pharrell Williams is bringing the wildly popular Something in the Water music festival back to the Virginia Beach waterfront.

Singer, songwriter, and Virginia Beach native Pharrell Williams lit up the waterfront last year with his Something in the Water Festival. Now he’s bringing it back in 2020 with even more world-renowned artists, musicians, and local bands. Last year saw upwards of 35,000 people at the festival that included Missy Elliott, Snoop Dogg, and even a surprise appearance by Jay-Z. This year’s event is bigger than ever with more musicians and a week-wide series of free events.

The 2020 Something in the Water event takes place along the boardwalk. Concerts take place on different stages, Friday through Sunday. Along with Pharrell himself, artists include Chance the Rapper, Post Malone, Beck, Brittany Howard, Foo Fighters, Jaden Smith, Major Lazer, Nelly, Trey Songz, Usher, H.E.R., Leon Bridges, and many more.

Williams created the festival as a way to give back and unite his hometown community while celebrating the diversity of the area.
