Become part of the unmasking as the Masked Singer National Tour stops in Washington, D.C., on June 11.
If you’re yelling “Take it off!” at your TV every Wednesday, then you might want to listen up. The FOX show, The Masked Singer, is going on tour and you can expect to see some of your favorite costumed celebrities in Washington, D.C., this summer.
Airing every Wednesday night, The Masked Singer has become an instant family favorite, and it's about to become even bigger. During this season's third episode, host Nick Cannon revealed that the masked singers will be going on tour to spread their bundles of love, serenading voices, and sweet dance moves.
The Masked Singer National Tour will kick off on May 28, 2020, in Detroit, Michigan, and end at the singers' final destination of Los Angeles, California on August 1. Along the way, the masked singers' tour bus will hit 45 different cities, including the nation’s magnificent capital.
The tour will feature some of your favorite masked singers as they perform live on stage. Each show will also include two celebrity guest hosts who have not yet been announced to the public, as well as a local celebrity who will appear incognito. At the end of the night, you'll get a chance to guess the identity of the local celebrity as they're unmasked just like the singers of the show. With so many popular celebrities from the Washington, D.C., area, you can only imagine who will be revealed underneath that mask. Will it be Samuel L. Jackson, Kevin Durant, Stephen Colbert, or Dave Chappelle? Only time will tell!
In a statement about the tour, the President of Alternative Entertainment and Specials of FOX Entertainment said:
“As the formation of FOX Alternative Entertainment allowed us to bring production of The Masked Singer under the FOX banner, we can now explore new and exciting ways to grow this hit franchise. The Masked Singer National Tour is a perfect example of this growth and, more importantly, a fun way for us to bring The Masked Singer and its beloved characters to fans and families across the country, live and in person.”
FOX Alternative Entertainment put the show in the very capable hands of Right Angle Entertainment, which is the company and complete mastermind behind several other live stage productions such as Dancing with the Stars, America's Got Talent, and The Bachelor. They even recruited creative director Mark Swanhart and executive producer Guy Phillips.
The Masked Singer tour bus will make a stop in Washington, D.C., on June 11 at the Warner Theatre, and you definitely don’t want to miss out. You can also catch the tour when it arrives at the Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore, Maryland, on June 10, and at the Dominion Energy Center in Richmond, Virginia, on June 18.
