As winter comes to an end, many of us start planning summer getaways. The Travel & Adventure Show is the place for vacation inspiration and the opportunity to book your trip in person!

This year's Travel & Adventure Show has a long list of activities and opportunities for you, your family, and friends to plan the getaway of the year! With so many options available under one roof, who knows where you'll get swept away to! The expo takes place at the Washington Convention Center at 801 Mt Vernon Place, Northwest, in Washington, D.C., from March 7 to 8.

For those who want to fill the day with activities, there is a wide array in store. Everyone can enjoy the virtual reality experiences that can guide you through Miami, Florida, for that tropical getaway. Or instead, hop onto a segway and explore the city from a tour guide's perspective. And for those looking to try something new, there are introductory SCUBA lessons and experiences being held on-site!

If you learn best in a more educational setting, plan to grab a seat at one of the various lectures and seminars. Leading travel and tourism experts will discuss money-saving tips, specifics about unique destinations, and even how to start your own travel blog! With over 30 lecture and seminar opportunities, there is a lot to learn.

For a lively experience, the Global Beats Stage lights up multiple times a day to showcase some of the world's cultures. With dance troupes showcasing the beautiful and energetic styles from Botswana, Ireland, Russia, and elsewhere, there is a sense of complete immersions as each of these talented groups dazzle the audience. Several of the groups will also invite audience members onstage to learn some basic steps, so the cultural immersion will start even before you leave on your trip!

After you've had your fill of activities, it's time to start planning. With more than 200 travel destinations represented at the Travel & Adventure Show, wander the halls of booths to start getting ideas. If you already know where you want to go, you can head straight for a travel expert. You can even start making the arrangements and booking your trip before you go home! Who knows, you might even get a special Travel & Adventure show deal or discount!
