This season, Nationals Park is providing its fans with some amazing perks, theme nights, and free gear.

Take me out to the ball game because the Nationals have one amazing promotion schedule this season. While you watch the Nationals hit it out of the park, you can also take part in some fun activities, get some free Nats gear, or watch fireworks light up the sky.

Pups in the Park

What’s better than puppies, hot dogs, and some good ol’ baseball? The answer is absolutely nothing. That’s why this season, the Nationals team is giving you six days of Pups in the Park. On these days, Nationals Park is allowing you to enjoy the game with you cuddly, furry friend. You can take your dog out to the ball game and sit in the Nats’ pet-friendly outfield section. All ticket proceeds are also donated to the Human Rescue Alliance, and on March 31, there will be a special pregame parade so that your dog can strut his stuff around the Nationals’ warning track.

Scheduled “Pup in the Park” Days:

  • March 31: Nationals vs. NY Mets
  • April 27: Nationals vs. San Diego Padres
  • May 26:  Nationals vs. Miami Marlins
  • June 13:  Nationals vs. Arizona D-backs
  • September 13: Nationals vs. Atlanta Braves
  • September 28:  Nationals vs. Cleveland Indians

Caturday is for the Cat Lovers

Don’t worry, cat lovers: Nationals Park isn’t only catering to the dogs. On July 6, the Nationals will also celebrate Caturday as they take down the Kansas City Royals. During Caturday, fellow cat lovers can mix and mingle at the game as they receive a free limited-edition cat-themed shirt. Proceeds from the tickets will benefit the Human Rescue Alliance and help save lovable cats around the nation. Note that fans are not actually permitted to bring their cats to the Nationals Park during this event. There are also special tickets associated with this event that must be purchased online prior to entry. 

Themed Movie Days

For those of you that love the big screen, you can now mix your favorite fandom with your favorite baseball team. This season, Nationals Park is taking its fan to the movies for two movie-themed days. On May 25, the first 10,000 Marvel fans can score a Captain Zimmerman Bobblehead that features the player with a special Captain America shield. Then, on June 15, Star Wars fans better race to Nationals Park in less than 12 parsecs, because the first 10,000 guests will receive an Obi “Sean” Kenobi Bobblehead.

Fireworks Friday

At the end of the game, you can watch the night sky light up with beautifully colored fireworks. The Nationals' amazing fireworks display will dazzle your night on April 26, May 24, June 14, July 3, and August 3. 

Appreciation/Discount Days

Throughout the season, the Nationals dedicate specific days to raise awareness or recognize brave and hardworking individuals. Check out the following appreciation and awareness days coming up this year.

Military Appreciation Days

Throughout the season, the Nationals will salute the brave men and women of the United States Military. The following games will feature pregame ceremonies and patriotic uniforms to honor those that have and continue to serve our nation:

  • April 2 (Military Appreciation Day)
  • May 27 (Memorial Day)
  • July 4 (Independence Day)
  • September 1 (Heroes Day)

On Military Appreciation Day, the Nationals will provide two complimentary tickets to all active duty, dependents, veterans, retirees, and reservists with an ID or proof of service. You can visit the First Base Gate on Potomac Avenue starting at 3 p.m. on April 2 to receive these tickets.

Nationals Park will also have other appreciation days dedicated to specific branches of the military.

  • Navy Day: May 1
  • Army Day: June 18
  • Marine Corps Day: July 30
  • Coast Guard Day: August 12
  • Air Force Day: September 24

On these days, you can use the following codes to receive discounted tickets on the respective day: NAVY, ARMY, MARINES, USCG, or AIRFORCE.

Teacher Appreciation Days

Nationals Park would like to recognize all the hardworking teachers, administrators, and school employees during its “Teacher Appreciation Days.” On these days, fans can purchase a special event ticket that includes concession credit and an exclusive Nationals giveaway. This year, Teacher Appreciation Days will be held on April 26, as the Nats take on the San Diego Padres, and on September 27, as they face down the Cleveland Indians.

Nurse Appreciation Night

The Nationals will celebrate the dedication of the nation’s wonderful nurses and their family members during Nurses Appreciation Night. Held on May 15, nurses can purchase a discounted ticket that includes concession credit.

Deaf Awareness Night

The Nationals will be raising awareness for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community during their Deaf Awareness Night. With a special event ticket, fans will receive an ASL/Nationals t-shirt when they head to the game.

The Nationals have some fun events planned for you. Check out some of these that might spark your interest.

Blossoms and Baseball

Baseball and cherry blossoms go hand in hand when welcoming the spring season in the nation’s capital. Therefore, if you head to Nats Park on April 3, you can enjoy 14 Kwanzan Japanese Flowering Trees while watching the Nats take on the Phillies. $5 of each ticket will also be donated to the National Cherry Blossom Festival.

Taste of the World International Food Festival

On September 14, the Nationals Park will host its fourth annual “Taste of the World International Food Festival.” With the purchase of a special event ticket, fans will enjoy a pregame street festival with foods and beverages from various D.C. embassies. The first 20,000 fans over the age of 21 will also receive an Oktoberfest Nationals Beer Stein. 

Night OUT

Join the Nationals on June 4 in celebrating the LGBTQ community for their fifteenth annual Night OUT. By purchasing a special event ticket, fans will receive a Night OUT t-shirt and $5 of each ticket will be donated to Team D.C.

Yoga in the Outfield

Need to relax or balance your chakras? Head to Yoga in the Outfield to participate in a 45-minute postgame yoga session on the outfield grass. You must purchase a special event ticket, but the ticket will come with a Nationals-branded yoga mat. This year, Yoga in the Outfield will be held on June 23 and August 18.  

Seniors Stroll the Base

Nationals Park is teaming up with Kaiser Permanente for Seniors Stroll the Bases. On May 27 and September 2, fans over the age of 60 can purchase a special ticket and stroll the bases after the game.
