Bird Walks | Newport News Park | Sunday

Ferguson North American Sand Soccer Tournament | Virginia Beach Oceanfront | Friday-Sunday

Star Gazing and Laser Lights Show | Virginia Living Museum, Newport News | Saturday

Gaze at the stars through high-definition telescopes, and enjoy a colorful laser lights show with state-of-the-art lasers. There is no better way to spend your Saturday night than relaxing outdoors under the stars! Bonus, there will be live music, too! Tickets are $6-10 each – check it out here!

Seawall Music Festival | Downtown Portsmouth | Friday and Saturday

Put on your dancing pants (yes, that's a thing) and head on over to downtown Portsmouth for two nights of fun! There will be both local and regional bands to help you celebrate music, along with fun family activities. Don't worry: There will be food vendors, so make sure to come hungry! Richmond

Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ Festival | Richmond Raceway Complex | Saturday

Can we say much more about this event than getting to drink beer and bourbon and feasting on some delicious BBQ? The tickets include all-you-can-taste beer and bourbon (there are over 60 after all), so take advantage of the event. There will also be plenty of live music for you to dance to like nobody's watching. Tickets are $40-60 each – check it out here!

East End Festival | Chimborazo Park | Saturday

Each year, this unique Richmond event celebrates the culture and neighborhoods of RVA with a jam-packed event. They will be hosting the Virginia Symphony, Mahogany Soul, and more. Get Outdoors Weekend | Williamsburg KOA | Friday-Sunday

During this special weekend, you will be able to escape modern life and live outdoors for one weekend. Take a break from your daily routine and enjoy the sound of the birds, the crackling of a fire, and the company of your family.
