The weekend is almost here, and we're here for it! Give your weekend plans some pep with outdoor festivals, concerts, and some of the hottest musicals of the summer (Hamilton, anyone?). We can't think of anything better!

Smithsonian Folklife Festival | National Mall | Saturday-Sunday

Washington Valor vs. Atlantic City Blackjacks | Capital One Arena | Friday

Jazz in the Garden | The National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden | Friday

Decompress with an evening of music each Friday from 5 to 8:30 p.m. in the National Gallery's lovely Sculpture Garden. Expect a wide variety of genres, from blues and jazz to reggae and Afro-funk! One Journey Festival | Washington National Cathedral | Saturday

Drawing over 5,000 visitors annually, One Journey celebrates the rights and humanity of refugees. All day, witness powerful storytelling and performances, explore craft booths, and delight in delicious multi-cultural cuisine. Admission is free, but registration is encouraged. Check it out here!

Betty Buckley in Hello, Dolly! | Kennedy Center | Ongoing

Hello, Dolly! See legendary actress Betty Buckley star as the eponymous character in this dazzling rendition directed by Jerry Zaks. Audiences will be charmed by the stage theatrics and iconic songs Broadway fans know and love! Tickets are $49-$159. Buy them here!

Pride Film Series | National Museum of American History | Friday

Representation is important, especially in film! In honor of Pride Month, watch screenings of significant LGBTQ films Love, Simon and Academy Award-winning drama The Favourite. Screening times vary. Tickets are $11-$12. Buy them here!

DinoRoars | Smithsonian National Zoo | Ongoing

Hear that sound? Dinosaurs are afoot in the National Zoo! Wander the zoo's grounds, and spy six fierce dinosaurs as they move and make noise. See the stegosaurus, dilophosaurus, and of course the T-Rex! Along with zoo admission, this dino safari is free. Fish N Paddle Saltwater Slam | Ocean City | Saturday-Sunday

The ultimate fishing tournament is reeling through Ocean City! For two days, experience the open waters fishing for flounder, bluefish, and more. Summer Beer & Wine Garden | Sandy Spring Museum | Friday

Need we say more? Hamilton is coming to Baltimore! Witness the story of Alexander Hamilton told through the lens of hip-hop, jazz, and blues in the wildly popular musical created by Lin-Manuel Miranda. While most tickets have sold out, don't fret! Sixth Annual Pops for Pets | Lubber Run Amphitheater | Friday
