Just Between Friends, a used children's clothing and toy expo, is coming back to Colorado this spring!

Let's face it, raising a kid is expensive. Sure, a baby shower can help a lot with the essentials early on, but it won't take long for babies to grow out of their infant and three-month onesies. Then, you're on your own. You can either buy new or search through the classifieds and NextDoor posts to buy everything used (which isn't fun). Well, Just Between Friends thinks they have the solution.

Just Between Friends is a unique organization that helps families and consigners to buy and sell gently used kids clothes, toys, shoes, and equipment. While it originally started in Oklahoma, Just Between Friends has become a national brand that helps families thousands of dollars all over the country.

[gallery type="rectangular" size="large" ids="35447,35448"] Items for sale have to be gently used and people who bring damaged or soiled items are almost always turned away. These expos tend to run for four days, but there usually are pre-sale tickets available that allow shoppers to look through inventory before the expo opens for the general public. If you know exactly what you want or want to pick through the best merchandise available, you should definitely look to purchase the pre-sale tickets. The pre-sale tickets tend to be more expensive ($30 vs $2), but the best items tend to be purchased during the pre-sale days.

Or, perhaps you fall on the other end of the spectrum and you want the best deal. Most of the items at the expo end up being super discounted (50/75 percent off listed price) on the last day. If you feel that the prices on Day 1 are not cheap enough, you can hold out until the end of the expo and see if you can snag an even better bargain.

But beware: someone might snatch what you're looking for up before you if you wait too long for the prices to come down.

Got slightly used baby items of your own? You can become a consigner and make a few bucks! Consignment works a little differently at each event, so make sure you check out the link to the event near you to learn how you can make some sweet cash selling your used gear! If you do end up consigning items, but they don't sell, know that you will have the option to donate your items to charity at the end of the event. That way, you can make sure they go to a good home and you won't have to lug it all back home with you!

The expo only comes to Colorado a couple times a year, typically in the spring and winter. So, if you need to stock up on baby and child items, don't miss out on this!
