If you’ve ever been to the neighborhood of Georgetown, you know it is THE shopping destination of Washington, D.C.
And while there are a ton of shops to choose from (literally, it would take way too long to name all the ones you should stop by), here are some great Georgetown shops that all the fashion gals won't want to miss.
Kate Spade
3034 M St. NW, Washington, D.C., 20007
Kate Spade has always been a shopping institution, and their Georgetown store is what window shopping dreams were made of. They change up their displays every season, so you can expect to see the trendiest over-the-top bright dresses and the latest style in handbags. And they don’t skimp out on the accessories, from the hats to the shoes to the jewelry. You can feel fashionably inspired without even stepping inside!
But of course, you should step inside. The shop is located in a converted row house right on M Street, and the store is just as beautiful inside as it is out. Shop handbags, accessories, and shoes on the main floor, then walk up the grand staircase to the second floor to shop clothing and see what's on sale.
And, with the aftermath of designer Kate Spade’s death, visiting the store and appreciating what she created is a worthy way to pay your respects.

Cusp by Neiman Marcus
3030 M St. NW, Washington, D.C., 20007
Right next door to Kate Spade is Cusp, which is the younger, trendier, sister store to Neiman Marcus. Most of the contemporary brands that work with Neiman are featured at Cusp. Come into this large industrial store to shop everything from Rebecca Minkoff to Elizabeth and James.
Whether you're on the hunt for a fabulous party dress or a classic pair of jeans, Cusp has something amazing for you. Seasonally, they also host huge sales on their second floor. It does require a bit of digging, but it’s well worth it for that perfect find.

Urban Outfitters
3111 M St. NW, Washington, D.C., 20007
Yes, you can find an Urban Outfitters pretty much anywhere you go, but the one in Georgetown stands out for being spacious, on trend, and with a full room devoted to sales.
That’s right: walk into the store and head towards the back to the sale room. There you will always find items at discounted rates, often in multiple quantities.
This Urban Outfitters also has plenty of funky décor, music, and skincare and accessory items to choose from. They’ve got a men’s section in the basement as well. Ask the sales people for fashion advice if you’re overwhelmed by the selection!
