A Paramount Pictures film, "Without Remorse," starring Michael B. Jordan, is expected to film in DuPont Circle this week.

From Killmonger to Creed, Michael B. Jordan has been dominating the Hollywood movie scene, and it looks like he’s back at it again—only this time in Washington, D.C.

A new movie starring Jordan, Jodie Turner-Smith from Queen and Slim, and Jamie Bell from Fantastic Four and Rocketman will film around DuPont Circle on December 19 and 20. The film, Without Remorse, is based on a Tom Clancy novel and is expected to hit theaters on September 18, 2020.

Jordan will star as John Clark, a former Navy SEAL-turned-CIA analyst and director of the elite counterterrorism unit Rainbow Six, who goes on a path to avenge his wife’s murder, only to find himself inside a larger conspiracy. Clark is from the same world as Jack Ryan, whom we have also seen filming around the streets of Washington, D.C.

Although there is no information about whether Jordan or his costars will be on set in Washington, D.C., you can expect to see some action-movie thrills and secret spy vibes around DuPont Circle this week.

Michael B. Jordan Will Stop Traffic

Jordan and the film crew will no doubt disrupt traffic from all the stops and stares. However, there are also certain streets near DuPont Circle that will be closed during the duration of filming. If you’re traveling through the area, you may want to consider alternate routes as the following streets will be closed from 6:30 p.m., Thursday, December 19, to 6 a.m. Friday, December 20:

  • Corcoran Street between 17th and 19th Streets, NW
  • R Street between 17th and 19th Streets, NW
  • New Hampshire Avenue between Riggs Place and Q Street, NW
  • 18th Street between Riggs Place and Q Street, NW

According to the Metropolitan police, “The public should expect parking restrictions along the street and should be guided by the posted emergency no parking signage. All vehicles that are parked in violation of the emergency no parking signs will be ticketed and towed.”

Proceed with caution around the areas of the filming and be patient as you may encounter delays. If you are in DuPont Circle and happen to catch a glimpse of Michael B. Jordan, Jodie Turner-Smith, or Jamie Bell, let us know!
