Amok, amok, amok! "Hocus Pocus 2" has found its director.

Come, little children, because the sisters are back! Three hundred years ago, the Sanderson sisters bewitched people, and now they’ve returned from their grave for a second movie.

No, it’s not a bunch of hocus-pocus. The movie now has a director, which makes the entire production that much more real.

According to Variety, Adam Shankman will direct Hocus Pocus 2 for Disney+. Shankman is known for producing and directing hit movies such as Hairspray, Step Up, A Walk to Remember, Cheaper by the Dozen 2, and The Pacifier.

However, directing and producing aren’t the only things Shankman is known for. He’s also a choreographer and dancer who has choreographed dozens of films. His talent for dancing and musical numbers could be a great asset for Hocus Pocus 2 as they explore the original film’s popular song, “I Put a Spell on You.”

Shankman is currently working on the pre-production of a sequel to Disney’s Enchanted movie, titled Disenchanted. Therefore, sources are unaware which one of these films will head to production first. Only time will tell.

Hocus Pocus 2 was written by Workaholics writer Jen D’Angelo and will be produced by Blade executive producer, Lynn Harris. Although the original witchy actresses are not currently signed on for the sequel, Disney is hoping to get them involved in some way. Some sources even believe that the original Sanderson sisters will take on their roles again, rather than having this sequel be a reboot of the first film.

So, will Hocus Pocus 2 put a spell on you? Let us know if you’re excited for the upcoming sequel!
