10 years later, Ryan Reynolds finally saw his much-maligned superhero movie. Experience each cringe with his hilarious simul-tweets.
How bad does a film have to be for its leading man to not even watch it? It's widely known that Green Lantern wasn't exactly the blockbuster movie that the studios had hoped for. Maybe that's why its star hadn't even bothered to check it out, until now.
For those of you who haven't seen it, the movie revolves around your classic tale of intergalactic strife and the "boy-meets-magic-ring" vibe. Right off the bat, Reynolds pours himself some Aviation Gin, his own artisanal brew, to take the edge off.

While most of the threads are self-deprecating and strewn with plenty of swearing, he can't say enough about the cast, even the CGI-enhanced characters. At one point, he even put up a poll about who brought the most to the table.
Who elevates the movie the most?

The quality of the CGI seems to be one of his sore spots, for sure. Over the years, it would become the butt of most of his Green Lantern-related jokes.

By the end of it, he was glad to have watched it, even so many years later.
Maybe it’s the Aviation Gin talking, but #GreenLantern was nothing to fear! Hundreds of incredible crew and cast members did amazing work — and while it’s not perfect, it ain’t a tragedy. Next time I won’t wait a decade to watch.
