The sequel to the holiday classic is coming to HBO Max this month.

*Updated on November 1, 2022:

Considered by many a holiday classic, A Christmas Story is one of those films that has spanned across generations and has become a tradition for many families at Christmastime. And now, we're (finally) getting a sequel nearly 40 years later! A new trailer for A Christmas Story Christmas was just released by HBO Max in anticipation of its premiere on the platform on November 17. Check it out below:

A Christmas Story Christmas will follow "Ralphie, now [an] adult, who returns to the house on Cleveland street to give his kids a magical Christmas like the one he had as a child, reconnecting with childhood friends, and reconciling the passing of his Old Man," reads the IMDb synopsis.

A few weeks ago, a teaser trailer was released. You can watch that below:

While the teaser is fairly short, it gets us nostalgic for the original and excited for the sequel. With a mix of audio and clips of the house (now in modern times, which is the 1970s in this film), we then get a brief clip at the end of a close-up of Ralphie all grown up. Peter Billingsley returns to the iconic role, thankfully with both eyes. (If you know, you know.)

How excited are you for the return of Peter Billingsley as Ralphie?
