Clarendon is a charming neighborhood with its restaurants, shops, vast outdoor space, and more. And in recent years, the neighborhood has upped its brunch game and has some favorites that are worth trekking over the Potomac for. Here are three awesome brunch spots to check out in Clarendon, each one offering their own unique take on the treasured meal.

Green Pig Bistro

You’ll find every cut of meat imaginable here. On the menu, you’ll find a blend of French and American cuisine, all wrapped in comforting brunch classics. Get a taste of something hearty like pork belly sandwich with fried egg and collard greens, or try the steak and eggs with fries. Of course, with brunch, you also need a libation of some kind. The Liberty Tavern

It has stately, old-world charm with a tavern-like feel. The menu, however, embraces new American dishes and brunch is an all-you-can-eat buffet, which lets you taste a little bit of everything. Whitlow’s on Wilson

For brunch, you have the option of a buffet or a la carte menu. The buffet features comfort foods such as homemade mac and cheese, corned beef hash, fried chicken, and even snow crab legs. While the a la carte menu has a range of omelets and various specials like the Crab Hash Oscar -- crabmeat sautéed with onions, potatoes, topped with two eggs (any style), hollandaise sauce, and asparagus.
