Be a hero this Valentine's Day by making a reservation at one of these six amazing restaurants.

Each of these D.C. restaurants is offering a prix fixe menu that takes the guesswork out of dining well in the city.

Fig & Olive | 934 Palmer Alley NW | Washington, D.C.

The four-course Valentine's Day dinner will run you $75 per person, with an additional wine pairing for $35 per person. I'd go for the classics: Oysters Rockefeller, the Fettucine Provençale, and the Osso Bucco. No need to pick your dessert; you get a lovely tasting plate with chocolate mousse, a s'more, and citrus gelée. View the entire menu of options here.

Oyamel | 401 7th Street NW | Washington, D.C.

For $75 per person, you can start with a red snapper ceviche before working your way through a truffled huitlacoche soup and Maine lobster taco with chipotle mezcal salsa. Oaxacan-style braised lamb or grilled whole trout would make unforgettable main dishes before finishing the meal with a Mexican chocolate mousse. The options are mouth-watering with this five-course dinner. View the full menu and make reservations here

The Pig | 1320 14th Street NW | Washington, D.C.

This Logan Circle eatery takes pride in elevating the humble pig in its entirety. Handcrafted food and drinks are the order of the day, and their $50-per-person Valentine's Day dinner reflects that. I'd start with the Heritage Pork Rillette, then the Seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras, and the Pork Tenderloin Steak with Sauce Diane. I'd finish off the meal with the Dark Chocolate Cake and Chantilly Cream. See all of the menu options and make a reservation here.

For $70 per person, you can indulge in a variety of tapas at this Dupont Circle favorite. Start with classic jamón ibérico and pan con tomate, and finish with the striped bass or hanger steak. The whole menu can be viewed here.

To me, the best thing about a prix fixe meal is dining well without breaking the bank. If you're driving in, don't forget to make a parking reservation on SpotHero or a nearby garage if the restaurant doesn't have a valet. There's nothing worse than circling the block a few times when your reservation time is creeping up.
