Who really wants to cook on Christmas day? I know I don't! Here are seven D.C. restaurants that are open on Christmas. 

Let's face it: Opening presents is exhausting (no denying that), and having to cook on top of it is just not on the agenda for the day. Since everyone has the day (or week) off, your goal should be to focus on relaxing and spending time with your family!

Just want to go out to a nice place and let someone else do the cooking for you? You're in luck because these seven D.C. restaurants are open on Christmas.

If you're looking for a cheap place to take your whole family, this would be it. Denny's offers breakfast and main dishes so everyone can pick which type of dish they want. IHOP is always a great location to take the family! They offer a variety of dishes for every meal of the day -- the current special is a Grinch meal with green pancakes! Prices are very reasonable (between $3-$12), and to help you save extra money, they're offering a free kid's entree for every adult entree -- what a deal! Locations: 3100 14th St. NW, and 1523 Alabama Ave. SE.


Boston Market

Boston Market is the perfect place to have Christmas dinner with the family. They offer delicious food such as chicken, meatloaf, ribs, soups and salads, and desserts. Prices range between $2.49-$15.99 for individual meals and sides, or you can feed the whole family for $47.29 (with the family dinner meal) that includes two rotisserie chickens and six sides. Mackie's Bar & Grill

Local to D.C., Sequoia offers American cuisine and will be serving prime rib and honey ham on Christmas day.  Newly renovated, the waterfront restaurant is offering a Christmas day brunch (from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) for $75 per adult. Teddy & The Bully Bar

Teddy & The Bully Bar is an American-style restaurant that is offering a Christmas dinner special -- a three-course meal featuring a carving station with meat, fish and poultry, unlimited sides, and homemade dessert. If you love Meditteranean and French food, this would be a place to check out! Alhambra is offering a Christmas day special for $79 per person that would get you a four-course meal.
