Baltimore’s DuClaw Brewing Company is releasing a beer that “tastes” like unicorn farts

If a unicorn farts in a forest and no one is around to smell it, does it have a taste? Well, according to DuClaw Brewing Company it does, and soon, you’ll be able to taste the rainbow, too.

DuClaw, the Baltimore-based brewing company known for making "Sweet Baby Jesus!" famous is now teaming up with the city’s infamous donut makers, Diablo Doughnuts, to bottle the taste of unicorn farts for the public. Called “Sour Me Unicorn Farts,” the beer is inspired by Diablo’s Unicorn Farts donut, a vanilla-frosted donut dipped in Fruity Pebbles. It is the perfect balance of tart and sweet and features fruity notes of Fruity Pebbles mixed with edible glitter.

“We were inspired by the way [Diablo founder] Ros continuously pushes the envelope with flavors and recipes," DuClaw founder and CEO Dave Benfield said in a statement. "The process and pace with which they operate is strangely similar to our approach to innovation – constant creativity, ideation, and testing.”

According to DuClaw Brewing Company, they found the perfect partners right in their own hometown. The beer’s slogan, “Local as F*#k,” clearly shows how well the two companies blended together to create the perfect drink to represent Baltimore.

The Baltimore locals first released their unicorn farts-flavored beer at the DuClaw Brewery on Saturday, March 16, and they're now ready to distribute to the public. In early April, the taste of unicorn farts will be unleashed in select stores around the country, including DuClaw’s usual distribution states of Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Kentucky, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.
