Yes, the original and iconic Mars Bar has returned! Here's what old-school candy lovers need to know.
Missing that iconic wrapper and that yummy nougat taste of Mars Bars? Well, you're in luck! A subsidiary of the Mars company (Ethel M. Chocolates) has brought back the iconic Mars Bar. Although discontinued in the U.S. in 2002, the original American version of the candy bar is again being sold in places like Cracker Barrel and online (
Amazon and
Ethel M).
Originally created in England by Forest J. Mars in 1932, the Mars Bar was sold in a black wrapper with red and gold-edged lettering. The new packaging is slightly modernized, with a gold and white wrapper, complete with a picture of the chocolate you'll find inside. The chocolate bar is a little thinner and a little wider, but the recipe is the same!

"There is no denying the exquisite blend of premium milk chocolate, creamy nougat, and fresh almonds," Ethel M. notes on their website.
What About a Twix White Chocolate Rollout?
Oh, and there's more good news for candy bar lovers: In addition to the return of the Mars Bar, the Mars Company has also decided to produce a non-beta, non-limited edition, white chocolate Twix candy bar. Oh, yes, those who previously enjoyed the limited release of white chocolate Twix will love seeing it take its permanent place on check-out counter shelves sometime in November.
