"Over 160,000 pounds of Hot Tamales candy is consumed in the birthplace of our nation. But Virginia has not lost sight of its heritage," stated the website. The only other states that put Hot Tamales above all other candy are Indiana and North Dakota.

Last year, CandyStore.com found out that Virginians were more inclined to buy Snickers.

The top five nationwide winners were Skittles (No. 1), M&M's (No. 2), Snickers (No. 3), Reese's Cups (No. 4), and Starburst (No. 5). You can check out the remainder of the results by clicking HERE.
