Move over PS5 and Xbox Series X, the Colonel is coming to town.
KFC officially declared the console wars are over. While everyone was fighting over the new Xbox and PlayStation 5, the Colonel was cooking up a new gaming system, the KFConsole.
KFC announced that it’s launching the KFConsole, an innovative device that combines gaming and eating. The fast-food chain teamed up with Cooler Master to create a high-end gaming PC shaped liked a KFC bucket. It includes components created by Intel, Asus, and Seagate as well as a patented Chicken Chamber that serves as a fried chicken heater and keeps players’ chicken warm while they play.
“When we were approached by KFC Gaming to make the KFConsole, we jumped at the chance to get involved and enter the console war,” said Cooler Master. “The KFConsole has been custom built with the gamer at the front of mind. The last thing we want is anyone to go hungry while playing!”
The Chicken Chamber utilizes the natural heat of the gaming console and an airflow system that transfers heat from the PC components to the chicken chamber when the device overheats. The fried chicken drawer ultimately keeps the hardware cool while also maintaining heat for its finger-lickin' chicken.
The KFConsole also includes many components and capabilities that a normal gaming console would have. It comes virtual reality ready and provides ray tracing, a feature that simulates real-life shadows and reflections and ultimately makes gaming seem even more real. It will also support 4K gaming and high-frame-rate gameplay at up to 240fps and includes two Seagate Barracuda 1TB SSD to provide enough memory for the best gamers.
“We know that rules are made to be broken,” KFC stated in its KFConsole ad. “We know that dreams are meant to be followed, that the impossible is made to be possible, and that gaming consoles are made to evolve. Welcome to the next level in gaming innovation, the KFConsole.”
KFC has been teasing its console since June 2020. A day after Sony revealed the PlayStation 5, KFC posted a video of the console on social media. Since then, the fried chicken restaurant has been using social media as a tactic to market its new invention. KFC Gaming has Instagram and Twitter and has been using the accounts to take shots at some of their nonbelievers.

Although KFC has announced the console is here, but there has been no mention of an actual release date. According to some reports, the KFConsole was expected to launch on December 22, and some gaming insiders believe the console could cost upwards of $2,000. At this price, the KFConsole might be more of a collector’s item than an everyday gaming system.
