Pokémon trainers, get ready for the ultimate weekend extravaganza! That's right, Pokémon GO Fest is back for another year of legendary events, bonuses, and—of course—Pokémon!

We've put together this handy guide to break down each day of the event, July 17–18, and what you can expect from this year's GO Fest. From raids to spawns and everything else in between, consider Our Community Now your one-stop shop for all things Pokémon.

Pokémon GO Fest 2021: Day 1

The first day of GO Fest is this Saturday, July 17, and here's a rundown of everything you need to know if you're gonna catch 'em all!

Features and Bonuses

  • ALL trainers (even if you don't have a GO Fest ticket):
    • Rotating habitat hours – Jungle, Desert Mountain, Ocean Beach, and Cave
    • Raids for Hitmontop, Deino, Cranidos, Galarian Weezing, Meloetta Hat Galarian Ponyta, and Galarian Zigzagoon
    • Music-related Pokémon—Chimecho, Kricketot, and Audino—appearing in the wild, along with Meloetta Hat Pikachu
    • Shiny release for Audino, Chimecho, Tympole, and Whismur
    • Half hatch distance when incubating during event hours
    • Lures will last for three hours
    • Igglybuff, Chingling, Audino and more hatching from 7km eggs
    • Event-exclusive Field Research
    • Special on-map visual effects
    • Six special trades per day
    • Evolve Kirlia during event hours to get the Community Day move Synchronoise on Gardevoir, or evolve Vibrava to get Earth Power on Flygon
  • Ticket holders:
    • Special research leading to Meloetta, and choice of encounters between Pikachu Pop Star or Pikachu Rock Star, along with Gardevoir or Flygon, and Galarian Zigzagoon or Galarian Ponyta.
    • New in-game music composed by Junichi Masuda – choosing the Pikachu Pop Star research branch will give you “high-energy electro-pop”, while the Rock Star music is promised to be “a rock-and-rolling track”
    • Meloetta Hat Gardevoir or Flygon available depending on research choice
    • Ability to contribute to the Global Challenge Arena – hourly challenges will unlock bonuses in each hour if completed, and successfully unlocks will go towards the three Ultra Unlock events
    • Release of shiny Throh, Sawk, and Unown F, plus return of shiny Unown G
    • Special event stickers received from spinning PokeStops
    • Pikachu Pop Star will know Draining Kiss, and Pikachu Rock Star will know Meteor Mash
    • Meloetta avatar shirt on completion of special research
    • Special avatar poses based on Pikachu Pop Star and Rock Star – pose received depends on your research choice
    • Using GO Snapshot after completing the special research on Saturday will give you a photobomb encounter from your chosen musical Pikachu
    • Increased shiny chance for Pokémon in the wild and on incense

Spawns

  • Known spawns for ALL trainers:
    • Jungle – Scyther, Aipom, Froakie
    • Desert Mountain – Skarmory, Shieldon, Hippopotas
    • Ocean Beach – Dratini, Swablu, Alomomola
    • Cave – Roggenrola, Galarian Stunfisk, Deino
    • All day – Chimecho, Kricketot, Audino, Whismur, Tympole
  • Known ticket spawns:
    • Jungle – Ludicolo, Chatot, Leafeon, and Serperior
    • Desert Mountain – Flareon, Tyranitar, Flygon, and Throh
    • Ocean Beach – Gyarados, Vaporeon, Azumarill, and Sawk
    • Cave – Umbreon, Gardevoir, Absol, and Galvantula
    • All day – Unown F and Unown G

Raids

  • Available raids for ALL trainers:
    • 1-star raids – Deino, Meloetta Hat Galarian Zigzagoon, and Galarian Ponyta (all available shiny)
    • 3-star raids – Cranidos, Hitmontop, and Galarian Weezing

Pokémon GO Fest 2021: Day 2

The second and final day of GO Fest is this Sunday, July 18, and here's a rundown of everything you need to know if you're gonna catch 'em all!

Features and Bonuses

  • ALL trainers (even if you don't have a GO Fest ticket):
    • Half hatch distance when incubating during event hours
    • Lures will last for three hours
    • Igglybuff, Chingling, Audino, and more hatching from 7km eggs
    • Event-exclusive Field Research
    • Special on-map visual effects
    • Six special trades per day
    • Evolve Kirlia during event hours to get the Community Day move Synchronoise on Gardevoir, or evolve Vibrava to get Earth Power on Flygon
  • Ticket holders:
    • An extra 10,000 XP for winning a raid
    • Spin Gyms to earn up to 10 normal raid passes (orange)
    • Completed timed research to earn up to eight remote raid passes (blue)
    • Free event bundle with three further remote raid passes
    • Special event stickers received from spinning PokeStops
    • On Sunday, using GO Snapshot after completing the special research will give you a photobomb encounter from either Meloetta Hat Gardevoir or Meloetta Hat Flygon, depending on which you chose during the research

  • Wind Hour raids:
    • Mewtwo, Ho-Oh, Latias, Latios, Regigigas, Altered Forme Giratina, Cresselia, Virizion, Therian Forme Tornadus
  • Lava Hour raids:
    • Moltres, Entei, Regirock, Groudon, Heatran, Reshiram, Terrakion, Therian Forme Landorus, and Yveltal
  • Frost Hour raids:
    • Articuno, Suicune, Lugia, Regice, Kyogre, Palkia, and Kyurem – plus Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf in their respective regions
  • Thunder Hour raids:
    • Zapdos, Raikou, Registeel, Rayquaza, Dialga, Cobalion, Therian Forme Thundurus, Zekrom, and Xerneas
