Are you Animal Crossing's best "deserted-island island dweller"? Then, this might be your dream job.
Have you clocked in hundreds of hours repaying your endless debt to Tom Nook, following a Gigas giant clam across the ocean floor, or building the perfect island? Well then, turn those hours into cold hard cash!
HighSpeedInternet.com is offering one lucky island dweller $1,000 to test their internet connection while playing 50 hours of Animal Crossing: New Horizon.
“Even if you’ve figured out how to grow your own money tree, we’re sure you wouldn’t mind getting paid $1,000 to play Animal Crossing New Horizons available on Nintendo Switch,” stated HighSpeedInternet.com’s job posting. “That is, if you can get your hands on the console.”
The Nintendo Switch has been in high demand since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, but if you’re lucky enough to have one in hand, this could be the job for you. According to HighSpeedInternet.com staff researcher Merinda, “We’re looking for an everyday person. You don’t have to be a professional gamer.”
Qualifications to Apply
Although they’re not looking for professional gamers, the company does have some qualifications for applicants. You must be a resident of the United States and 18 years of age or older. You must also own a copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizon and a device to play it on—either a Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite. Simple enough!
How to Apply
To apply, you just have to submit an application at highspeedinternet.com/resources/dream-job-animal-crossing and complete an internet speed test. The site has instructions on how to conduct the test and submit the results. It literally takes minutes to send in your application.
HighSpeedInternet.com will choose a winner on August 6, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. MDT. If you are the lucky villager, you must accept the dream job by August 16, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. MDT. The winner must then log their 50 hours of playtime by September 30, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. MDT in order to collect the $1,000 payment.
So, are you ready to get paid to plant trees, dive for sea creatures, and build the perfect island? Let us know if you apply—and good luck!
